Well, not really. Since Jon's return, it's been all go, go, go. I still had a week of school to finish before the holidays, not to mention a combined welcome home/birthday/engagement party to prepare. Although I stressed somewhat, I needn't have - I neither had any clumsy accidents, nor complaints. In fact, compliments seemed to be the order of the day! Not only this, but everyone seemed to be in a mood where they were predisposed to being pleased - a state I wish was more naturally occurring in everyday life.
In any case, since then we have revisited some favourite old haunts, and thought about visiting some new ones. On Thursday, we're going to the local Amnesty International meeting, before traipsing to Manly on Friday and attending a Trash and Treasure sale on Saturday in aid of a campaign to save a local theatre. We then return to Sydney on Tuesday to go to Taronga Park Zoo, before staying overnight and returning on Wednesday. We plan to make the acquaintance of Jack the Wedge-Tailed Eagle and Tathtra, Maverick, Storm and Kira the Australian Fur Seals.
Therefore, given that we have been so busy, and are going to be even busier still, I think we have had a perfect excuse to indulge in a little indolence today.
Oh, and by the way? Check out the birthday presents:
