Things that are ...

Good:
- Cafe-style raisin toast spread with real butter, as opposed to margarine.
- Further to Point 1, spreadable butter rocks generally.
- Students who tell their little brothers "If you don't stop being naughty, I'm going to tell my Kim!"
- Watching the washing dance on the line on a sunny day.
- Knowing that I am only three borders away from finishing the quilted runner that has been plaguing me for the last thirteen weeks - and it only consisted of three blocks!
- Smiling at people on the street as I walk by, and watching them smile back ... even the next door neighbour who happens to be one of the most morose lumps of lard that I've ever had the misfortune to come across.
Not Good:
- Wrinklets, especially the new one which seems to have formed the Second Joint Coalition of the Willing with the first in an evil pact to destroy my face.
- Thomas Gainsborough. Too naive for my taste. However, I am willing to find out if I can manage to be thrown out of the National Gallery for getting too close to said works of art for a second time.
- Being leered at by drongos who have the insousiance to actually lick their lips as I pass by *shudders*
- Twin-tub washing machines. Especially twin-tub washing machines whose spinners are bro-ken. BRO-KEN, I say! I have learnt a great deal about my lung capacity whilst sucking on the hose pipe during the last couple of weeks. For those of you who have filthy minds, I say "Don't go there."
- Cleaning. Enough said.
- The end of the winter break.
